The Mission

• We are building a next-generation digital marketplace in the fast-growing AI & automation space.

• We are at the earliest stage: validated problem, clear product direction, detailed technical blueprint. We are looking for a technical co-founder who wants to own the full technology vision, architecture, and execution from day one and help shape a category-defining company.

Role Overview

• As Co-Founder CTO you will be the primary technical leader and builder. You define the overall architecture, make critical technology choices, lead MVP development, hire and mentor the first engineers, and ensure the platform is secure, scalable, cost-effective, and delightful for users. You partner with the business co-founder and share full ownership of direction, fundraising, and long-term success.

Location:

Hong Kong (preferred) or remote with strong HKT timezone overlap.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end technical strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals (speed to market, strong security & trust, low operational complexity, excellent user experience)

• Design and build the core platform: user-facing web application, backend services, secure execution environments, data persistence, and monetization infrastructure

• Lead development of the MVP through to production launch (target: 3–6 months to revenue-generating beta)

• Select and integrate modern cloud-native technologies (edge compute, serverless databases, authentication, payments, observability)

• Create intuitive tools to enable non-technical users

• Establish engineering foundations from scratch: code quality standards, security posture, CI/CD, monitoring, cost awareness

• Recruit and lead the initial small engineering team (2–4 senior engineers)

• Support fundraising efforts: technical due diligence, architecture explanations, demo preparation

• Make pragmatic early-stage trade-offs across speed, scalability, security, and cost

Must-Have Experience and Mindset

• 6–10+ years hands-on building production-grade web/SaaS platforms (marketplaces, developer tools, creator economies, or AI-adjacent products)

• Deep full-stack expertise: modern frontend (React/Next.js) + backend (Python FastAPI / Go / Node.js preferred)

• Proven experience designing secure, multi-tenant systems (authentication, authorization, isolation, auditability)

• Strong cloud-native architecture skills (containers, serverless, edge compute, infrastructure as code)

• Comfortable owning DevOps & infrastructure in early stages (CI/CD, monitoring, cost optimization)

• Track record of shipping MVPs quickly in resource-constrained settings

• Genuine entrepreneurial drive: willing to code, design, prioritize, sell the vision, and fundraise

Strongly Preferred

• Previous startup / co-founder experience (success or valuable failure both count)

• Background in marketplaces with digital goods, subscriptions, or usage-based billing

• Exposure to AI tool-calling ecosystems, prompt engineering, or secure execution environments

• Familiarity with modern auth providers, payment platforms (Stripe Connect or equivalent), vector databases, caching layers

• Existing network in startup scene (advantage for hiring, partnerships, local compliance)

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software/Computer/Electrical Engineering (with strong software focus) or a closely related technical discipline

• An MBA would be great.

• Direct experience architecting production-grade AI systems.

• Deep knowledge of the LLMs API ecosystems.

Location:

Hong Kong (preferred) or remote with strong HKT timezone overlap.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and own the user-facing marketplace (dashboards, catalog, onboarding)

• Implement secure payment integration for digital goods / subscriptions

• Create intuitive tools that help non-technical creators publish and monetize content

• Ensure smooth integration between web platform and external agent/automation ecosystems

Must-Have

• 5+ years Next.js (App Router) + TypeScript

• Production FastAPI / Python backend experience

• Stripe Connect or similar marketplace payment platforms

• Modern auth (Clerk, Auth0, etc.)

Strongly Preferred

• Experience building creator platforms, prompt/tool marketplaces, or no-code/low-code onboarding

• Familiarity with AI agent ecosystems or tool-calling standards

• Building AI-assisted content generation flows

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, a closely related technical field OR equivalent practical experience (typically demonstrated by 5+ years of production-level full-stack development with modern web technologies)

• Own infrastructure as code for global, low-latency compute environments

• Deploy and manage isolated, multi-tenant execution sandboxes at scale

• Implement cost tracking, auto-scaling, and usage metering per workload

• Build observability (metrics, logs, tracing) for distributed agent workloads

Must-Have

• Strong Terraform / IaC experience

• Deep Docker + container security knowledge

• Prometheus/Grafana or equivalent observability stack

• Linux systems & networking fundamentals

Strongly Preferred

• Experience with microVM technologies (Firecracker, containerd, etc.)

• Prior work on pay-per-use or metered compute platforms

• Deploying secure, policy-enforced runtime environments

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent hands-on experience (typically 4–7+ years managing production infrastructure, containers, IaC, and observability at scale)

The Mission

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a high-performance API gateway for external integrations

• Build orchestration logic for provisioning and managing isolated execution environments

• Enforce fine-grained access control, usage policies, and audit logging

• Handle stateful session management and long-term data persistence for interactive workloads

Must-Have

• Strong Go (or strong Python/Rust equivalent)

• Experience with OAuth2 / OIDC, policy engines, RBAC

• Production work with containers, microVMs or sandboxed runtimes

• Building secure, multi-tenant backend services

Strongly Preferred

• Prior work on agent/tool execution runtimes, secure sandboxes, or controlled inference platforms

• Familiarity with container orchestration patterns (cold starts, checkpoint/restore, resource metering)

• Experience with Redis + vector databases for session and memory management

Education Requirements
